Nice piece Eric. We should hate the Chinese because they have no espect for the automobile. Oh sure, everybody there has put away their once ubiquitous bicycles and started driving, but the nefarious Chinese government has invested in high speed trains and put vast subway systems in their cities (Shanghai's subway, largely built in one decade is as large as the New York City subway system but is a lot prettier and safer with glass walls on the platforms). What's that about? Everyone knows that mass transit doesn't work!
and perhaps equally bad, instead of the wonderful kakistocracy of the west, China has real democracy - rule of, by and for the people.
