Nope, just swinging from one psychotic, schizophrenic Woke fake human rights personality, and swinging to the Christian fascist mentality, which it is far more upfront about. Historical….Woo hoo. Onward Christian soldiers. “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition”. Manifest Destiny—the socalled God given right to rule the planet is a value that’s caused millions of death and misery world wide, starting with North America.
US Militarism IS ‘the Normal’ Condition of the US
US Militarism IS ‘the normal’ condition of the US, with counter cultural social movements like Civil Rights, Women’s Rights becoming increasingly tending towards the socially divisive Woke Agenda.
It’s Class War at home against the people of the US, and Endless, Ruthless, Expansionist Wars abroad. Notably, against Russia, cynically using Ukraine to do the dirty work.
The US military budget is twice that of Russia and China, combined. The US has 800 plus military bases in dozens of countries. Both Russia and China together have maybe 10.
The inherently undemocratic and fascistic nature of the US rulers should be apparent but apparently is not among the majority of the population.
Meet the New ‘Peaceful’ Secretary of Defense
Trump says he wants to be known as the peace president, and says he wants peace in Ukraine. So that is why he hired Jeffrey Sachs as Secretary of Defense…..NOT! He’s hired Born Again Christian Warrior Crusader, Pete Hegseth, replete with Crusader era crosses tatoos. ( The Crusades were the 1000 year old European invasions of ‘the Holy Land’, to punish the Muslims. And kill anybody else, Jews or Christians also living there.)
The Socalled Ceasefire Plan, As Prep for More War
That brings us to that noble peace plan, the 30 day cease fire plan, which toxic ball, Marco Rubio tossed into Russia’s court. This ‘deal’ that Trump, Rubio and Waltz set out is reminiscent of a high pressure used car, or real estate or insurance sales pitch. “Buy now before it’s too late”. And Russia is supposed to fall for it!
So, in the interest of ‘peace’, Ukraine accepts the 30 day ceasefire. And because of that noble act, the US has resumed arms and technological help to Ukraine, and Ukraine continues its forcible mobilization of unwilling recruits.
And Russia is supposed to accept this replay of the transparently flawed Minsk Agreements, which at the time, many Russians and Donbass people deeply objected to.
Indeed, Putin intended the Minsk Agreements to leave Ukraine stable and united, while protecting Russian ethnic peoples. The Donbass militia could have broken the back of the Nazi led Kiev regime. Instead, Ukraine used its unwillingness to implement the Minsk Agreements to build up a powerful military force meant to finally destroy the Donbass.
The result: 8 years of broken promises and thousands dead, leading up to the SMO, and another million dead Ukrainians and probably 200,000 dead or wounded Russians.
Top Priority: Fix the Backlog of Western Violations
There is a whole backlog of confidence building measures that Trump can and must do, starting with return of Russia’s real estate properties, plus back rent. Return the $300 billion stolen cash. Reopen consular properties and reinstate expelled diplomats, not to mention get the access to the Skripals, whom the British kidnapped after accusing Russia without evidence, of poisoning.
Then they can talk about the ceasefire.
National Interests: United States vs Russia’s Point of View
Regarding ‘National interests’. The US problem is that it’s so self centered that it refuses to take others’ national interest into their calculus. It’s ‘our way or the highway’. The art of diplomacy makes viable and sustainable, stable international agreements possible. The use of force and bullying, the US method, only builds up resentment and creates instability.
Why Russia Must Take Back Odessa
Noted journalist, Pepe Escobar, a true geopolitical expert and journalist, points out that Russia has to take physical control of Odessa. It was founded by Catherine the Great and is a quintessential Russia city. The UK attacked Russia in Crimea in 1853. Odessa is close by.
So it is an insult to Russia to allow the UK to control it. Catherine the Great must be restless in her grave, knowing that Perfidious Albion controls military assets that were Russian for hundreds of years. Worse yet, potentially lethal missiles pointed at Russia could be there.
All British and European presence in Ukraine must go.
