This is a partial list of sources I refer to. You don’t have to agree with each of them, who also have their own opinions. But they can give a lot of background and context to their thinking, and help break open the echo chamber of the bought and paid for mainstream news sources.

and journalists like Judge Andre Napolitano and to some degree Tucker Carlson.
These are people from the Conservative, AKA “right wing”of the political spectrum.
You won’t find many if any Leftist former military men.
Then there is the group, Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity.
These people first came to my attention in their warning not to invade Iraq in 2003. They were correct when they insisted that Iraq had no Weapons of Mass Destruction

On the other end of the spectrum, where I stand, are those who opposed the Vietnam and subsequent wars, along with the whole Wall Street/War Street American project that has dominated US political discourse since the end of WWII and certainly well before that.
On the Left side of the spectrum, you have
Economists like Richard Wolfe, Michael Hudson,
Journalists like Danny Haiphong, Ben Norton, and the investigative journalists like The Grayzone’s Max Blumenthal, Aaron Mate, Kit Klarenberg, Wyatt Reade. Brian Berletic. People on the ground, Vanessa Beeley and Eva Bartlett.
Pepe Escobar, who has been covering all this Asia, and now “Global South” for over 40 years, combines his amazing cultural experience as multilingual—English, Portuguese (he’s Brazilian), French, as he travels the world and interviews high ranking officials from many countries due to his long built up connections
Alastair Crooke, a retired British diplomat with deep connection with the Middle East has a deep understanding of the Palestine conflict.
My primary view has become clearer, as the Capitalist Fangs have sucked the life blood out of the vast majority of the West, and the USA in particular, while the “Endless Wars Abroad, and Class War at Home” continue.
While I have come to the conclusion that we’re faced with a stark choice: Socialism or Barbarism, as Rosa Luxemburg said, before she, like so many others, was killed.
But I am also realist. So it’s a welcome relief to see former military men and intelligence officers and conservatives make common cause with people like me, who always opposed all wars, whether Hot or Cold. Let the Lindsey Grahams, John McCains, Mike Pompeos, Tony Blinkens, Ted Cruzes, Hillary Clintons and the many other war monger imperialists get swept into the dust bin of history.
At its heart, we are talking about a human society based on common decency, truth, equality, justice, fairness. Whatever ideological tag attached to it is secondary.
So I ask of the US political class, finally, “Have you no decency, sirs and madams?”
